Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill gain advantage in T20I batting rankings after good performances against Zimbabwe

New Delhi: After his impressive performance against Zimbabwe, India's Yashasvi Jaiswal has moved up 4 places to the 6th position in the latest ICC T20I batting rankings. Their captain in this series, Shubman Gill, who was the highest run-scorer in the Zimbabwe series, has moved up 36 places to 37th in the rankings.

Meanwhile, power hitter Suryakumar Yadav has maintained his hold on the second spot in the rankings, just behind Australia's Travis Head, who tops the list. Ruturaj Gaikwad, however, has fallen to the 8th position in the rankings.
Currently, there is no Indian player in the top 10 of T20I bowlers rankings. Akshar Patel has dropped four places to 13th despite being rested for the Zimbabwe series. However, fast bowler Mukesh Kumar and spinner Washington Sundar have both made significant strides up the rankings.
Mukesh, who has taken eight wickets in just three matches, has risen 36 places to 46th, while spinner Washington Sundar, who has taken eight wickets in five wickets, has climbed 21 places to 73rd.
England's Adil Rashid leads the T20I bowler rankings, followed by South Africa's Enrique Nortje and Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga.
In the T20I all-rounders rankings, India's Hardik Pandya has slipped four places to sixth, while Akshar has slipped one place to 13th.
Washington (41st) and Shivam Dubey (43rd) rose 8 and 35 places to 41st and 43rd respectively.
Sri Lankan Hasaranga tops the list of all-rounders ahead of Australia's Marcus Stoinis and Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza.
