New Delhi: Two-time Olympic medalist shuttler PV Sindhu will open her Paris Olympics 2024 campaign against Maldives' Fatimath Nabaha Abdul Razak in the women's singles badminton match at the Porte de la Chapelle Arena on Sunday (July 28). A former World and Commonwealth Games champion, Sindhu has cemented her position as one of the top women's singles players in Indian badminton history.

At the Paris Games 2024, Sindhu will take center stage in her third Olympics, having made a comeback with medals in her previous two events at Tokyo 2020 (bronze) and Rio 2016 (silver). Sindhu, who is currently ranked 13th in the world badminton rankings, has been included in Group M as the 10th seed. Estonia's Kristin Kuuba (World No. 73) is the other shutter in the group.
