TV fame Asha Sharma, known for her roles in serials like 'Do Dishaen', 'Kumkum Bhagya' and others, passed away at the age of 88. The news was announced early today through the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA). The official X handle of The platform expressed its deepest condolences, sympathies and condolences to her family, friends and fans.
TV actress Pooja Gor condoled Asha's demise. In a conversation with Times Now, the actress said, “Honestly, I had no idea about it. This is shocking information for me.”
Talking about Asha Sharma, Pooja said, “She was a wonderful person and a great person. She always showered us with lots of love and blessings. She played the role of my grandmother in this show. After the show, I unfortunately met her only once. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.”
Asha's illustrious career spanned more than four decades, with her stellar roles in films like Adipurush, in which she played the role of Shabri, as well as popular TV shows like Nukkad and Buniyad. She received a Star Parivar Award nomination for her performance and appeared in a wide range of other shows including Ek Aur Mahabharat and Kumkum Bhagya. Her body of work included short films such as Toffee and The Last Jam Jar, totaling approximately 40 projects.
Asha was loved by the audience for her role as a mother and grandmother in films and TV shows. Some of her famous works include Do Dishaen (1982), Insaaf Kaun Karega, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam. The actress has always shown her excellent work and contribution in both film and TV.
