Former Congress leader, Acharya Pramod initiated the course of action, alleging that the film contradicts and misrepresents religious scriptures, thereby hurting the sentiments of the Hindu community. Scroll down to find more details.

Acharya Pramod said, “India is a land of emotion, faith and devotion. Children should not tamper with religious values. Do not tamper with the scriptures of Sanatan. Lord Kalki Narayan is at the center of our faith. He is considered as the final incarnation of Lord Vishnu (sic). The Congressman added, “This film is against what is described in our scriptures. The movie is hurting our religious sentiments. Therefore, we have raised some objections and are awaiting a response. Playing with the emotions of Hindus has become the pastime of filmmakers. It is a wrong and flagrant disrespect to these sacred texts which are central to the religious beliefs and practices of hundreds of crores of devotees.”

The notice further reads, “Such portrayal has already created confusion and tends to irreversibly taint the mythology and folklore of Lord Kalki in the hearts of devout Hindus, leading to misunderstanding, misinterpretation and decay of the latter.
