Amar Kaushik's horror-comedy Stree 2 has finally hit the big screen. The film is doing well at the box office and is now around 200 crores.

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's film 'Stree 2' finally hit the big screen and it certainly remains a buzz. The film made Rs. 51.8 crore on the first day of release. Now, according to a report by industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has made Rs. 200 crore mark, depositing Rs. 177.42 crore on the fourth day. Amar Kaushik's horror-comedy is loved by the audience.

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Analysis

The advance bookings of Stree 2 received a promising response, with the film selling over 3.8 lakh tickets till date, making a total of Rs. 11.37 crore till August 14. On its opening day, Stree 2 collected Rs. 51.8 crores. On day 2 and 3, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao's film collected Rs. 31.4 crore and Rs. 43.85 crore respectively. On day 5, which was the first Sunday after its release, the film collected Rs. 41.87 crores, a total of Rs. 177.42 crores.

Recently Kangana Ranaut also praised Amar Kaushik's film and called it a much-needed blockbuster. Sharing a lengthy note on her Instagram, the actress wrote, “Stree has broken all records. Kudos to the entire team, but the real hero of the film is the director. In India, we don't give enough credit or appreciation to directors, that's why many youngsters don't want to be writers or directors. Everyone who wants to pursue a career in films and comes to me for guidance wants to be an actor or a superstar. If everyone becomes an actor, who will make films? Think about it!”

She added, “So please know the names of all the good directors who do a lot to entertain and engage you and please follow them too. Also know their life and process. Appreciate and encourage them too. Dear @amarkaushik sir, thanks for this much needed all time blockbuster.”

About Stree 2

The highly anticipated horror-comedy sequel to 2018's Stree is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan. Stree 2 follows a group of friends, led by Rajkummar Rao's character Vicky, a tailor who falls for a mysterious woman played by Shraddha Kapoor. Their silver city is haunted by the villain Sarkat. The film also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana in lead roles.
