New Delhi: The recent death of three civil services aspirants at a coaching center in Delhi's old Rajendra Nagar has sparked widespread debate across the country. The incident took place on Saturday at Raul Study Circle in Old Rajinder Nagar after heavy rains. Delhi Police has arrested five more people in connection with the death of three students in a water-logged and flooded basement of a coaching center in Old Rajinder Nagar, officials told news agency ANI. In the midst of this tragic flood, Shriram IAS Coaching Center has come under intense scrutiny and controversy.

After facing criticism due to its viral social media post, Sriram IAS Coaching Center issued a clarification on Sunday. Rau's IAS Study Circle – The post amid student protests over the tragic death of three UPSC civil services aspirants due to basement flooding in a separate institute.

Taking X, Sriram IAS wrote, “Our earlier statement was completely misunderstood. Our intention was to convey that you are on a historic path. To create meaningful change in society, it is important to break away from the conventional and create your own unique path. Stand outside and listen. “

The message, which sparked a wave of backlash and was subsequently removed, affirmed, “We express our solidarity with ORN aspirants. It's time for some soul searching on everyone's part. Remember, you should not be part of the herd just so you can be heard.”

Those who died in the incident are Shreya Yadav, a native of Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni of Telangana; and Nivin Dalvin, a resident of Ernakulam, Kerala. Tanya Soni (21) is a native of Telangana and hails from Aurangabad in Bihar and was a student of DU. Tanya, who had joined the coaching institute just a month and a half ago, was currently living in the girls' hostel of Maharaja Agrasen College.
