Samsung has introduced an AI-powered bespoke washing machine in India, with a 12 kg capacity, energy-saving mode and smart controls for efficient, convenient and eco-friendly laundry care.

New Delhi: Samsung has launched a new series of advanced AI-powered washing machines aimed at enhancing the laundry experience for Indian households. The newly introduced lineup includes 10 large capacity front-load washing machines, each with a capacity of 12 kg, designed to handle large laundry loads efficiently, making them ideal for washing blankets, curtains and sarees.

These washing machines are available at a starting price of INR 52,990. They feature a stylish bespoke design with an attractive flat glass door and advanced AI features such as AI Wash, AI Energy Mode, AI Control and AI EcoBubble, all geared towards making laundry tasks more efficient and user-friendly.

Saurabh Baisakhia, Senior Director, Digital Devices, Samsung India, said the company's focus is on combining technology and convenience. “Indian consumers are increasingly looking for devices that deliver exceptional performance with minimal effort. Our new 12 kg AI-powered washing machine is designed to meet these needs, allowing customers to more easily manage large laundry loads while providing a blend of style, convenience and high performance,” explained Baisakhia.

The machines' AI capabilities are particularly impressive, as they use data from 2.8 million sources to optimize washing settings, integrating seamlessly with the SmartThings app to achieve energy savings of up to 70% with every wash. This feature not only helps reduce energy costs but also supports sustainable living by conserving resources.

One of the key features, AI Wash, uses advanced sensors to assess fabric weight, softness and soil level, ensuring optimal use of water and detergent for each load. The Auto Dispense function makes the process easy by automatically dispensing the right amount of detergent and fabric softener. AI Energy Mode, accessible through the SmartThings app, allows users to track and manage their energy usage, offering detailed insights into usage patterns and helping control power bills.

Samsung's new washing machines also emphasize sustainability, featuring a low microfiber cycle that reduces microplastic emissions by up to 54%. The Hygiene Steam option deep cleans, effectively killing 99.9% of bacteria and allergens. Powered by Samsung's digital inverter technology, the machine is built to last, with a 20-year warranty on the motor.

Available in various colors and priced between INR 52,990 and INR 74,990, the new models are now on sale at Samsung's online store, retail outlets and other e-commerce platforms, with flexible financing options available through Samsung Finance+.
