Salman Khan took to his Instagram account on Saturday to share the poster of Angry Young Men, a documentary about iconic writer duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. The actor also revealed through his post that the series will premiere on OTT giant Amazon Prime Video on August 20, 2024. The documentary is divided into three parts and the story revolves around how Salim-Javed changed Hindi cinema in the 1970s. Their powerful script.

The documentary explores the lives and careers of Javed and Salim, offering intimate insights from them and their peers in the industry. It explores how his iconic films like Sholay, Deewar and Don resonated with an entire generation and left a lasting cultural imprint. The series promises an authentic portrayal of their journey, creative process and lasting legacy.

These documentaries feature prominent figures from Indian cinema and are presented in the voices of Salim and Javed. Moreover, the series is produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel Media and Entertainment and Tiger Baby. Namrata Rao made his directorial debut with this serial. Angry Young Men is produced by Salma Khan, Salman Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti.

Meanwhile, as quoted by Amazon, Salman Khan said, “Growing up, watching my father and Javed Sahab work together in films was nothing short of magical. His love of cinema redefined heroism for an entire generation and left behind a legacy of cult classics. Personally, I would love to see them work together in the future. I hope fans and audiences will agree.”
