KDAH History
Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital was conceived by Neetu Mandke in 1999, but the project could not be completed after Mandke's death in 2003. However, Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group took it over and completed the project. It opened its doors in 2009.
KDAH has faced controversy, most notably in 2014, when the hospital was accused of offering incentives to doctors for referring patients. Later, the Anil Ambani-led hospital had to tender and tender an official apology to the Maharashtra Medical Council for promoting this unethical practice.
Meanwhile, despite some setbacks and controversies, KDAH is a leader in medical innovations in India and Asia, including spine surgery suites featuring the O-arm and cancer treatment methods.
