National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by MHRD and launched on 29 September 2015 by Hon'ble HRD Minister. The framework outlines a methodology for ranking institutions across the country. The methodology is derived from the overall recommendations received by the Core Committee constituted by the MHRD to identify broad criteria for ranking various universities and institutions. Parameters include “teaching, learning and resources,” “research and professional practices,” “degree outcomes,” “outreach and inclusiveness,” and “perceptions.”

IRF ranking is released for overall category, engineering, management, pharmacy, colleges, architecture, law, medical, dental, research pdf and agriculture.
