After Naga Chaitanya's engagement, his father and superstar Nagarjuna opened up about Chhai and Shobhita Dhulipala's wedding plans.

Naga Chaitanya and Shobhita Dhulipala promised each other forever on August 8, 2024, as they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Hyderabad. The good news was shared by Chaitanya's father Nagarjuna through an X (formerly known as Twitter) post. The Telugu superstar shared a picture of the couple, wishing them a happy future together. Now in an interview, Nagarjuna has opened up about his son and Shobhita's wedding plans.

In an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna was asked about the couple's wedding date, to which he replied, “Not immediately, Subhash. As I told you, we decided to get married in a hurry because it was an auspicious day, and since we were sure that Chhai and Shobhita wanted to get married, we said, let's do it.”

Nagarjuna knew Shobhita long before Chaitanya

He further revealed that he had known Sobhita since before Chaitanya. The actor said, “A lot. In fact, you might be surprised to know that I knew her long before Chai. Yes! Chhe met Shobhita two years ago, but I have known her for six years. I saw her in Adivi Shesh's Gudchari and loved her work. I told her that. Since then there were many discussions on cinema, life, philosophy. Shobhita is a very sensible girl.”

Meanwhile, on August 8, Nagarjuna shared heartwarming pictures from his son Naga Chaitanya's engagement ceremony with Shobhita Dhulipala. The proud father was pictured beaming with happiness as he posed with the newly wedded couple. While Shobhita looked resplendent in a peach saree, Naga Chaitanya complemented her in a traditional attire.

Sharing a post on X, the actor wrote, “We are happy to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Shobhita Dhulipala, today at 9:42 am! We are very happy to welcome her to our family.
