Sarjana Yadav bagged All India ranking…
Undeterred by the uphill battle of one of the toughest exams in the world, Sarjan opted for the less traveled route, opting not to join a coaching centre. After a few failed attempts at the exam in 2018, Sarjana decided to quit her job to focus undividedly on her UPSC exam preparation. It turned out to be a wise decision as she finally cleared the UPSC exam in the third attempt in 2019 and secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 126. Above all, the rank of surgeon received more attention because she did all the management. This without any training aids.
Sarjana emphasizes that the scope of UPSC syllabus is huge, trying to read many books for each subject can prevent proper syllabus coverage in time. Her advice? Choose a quality reference for each topic, delving deeper into the text. If a book doesn't cover a topic, she suggests a practical solution – searching online or using easy-to-find resources instead of racking your brain over an extra book.
