Kamala Harris has officially announced her candidacy for the US presidential election
Earlier, former US President Barack Obama publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the US presidency after Joe Biden dropped out of the race recently.
Kamala Harris officially announced her candidacy for the US presidential election and expressed confidence in the victory of her people-power campaign in November. Taking to social media, Harris stressed her determination to earn every vote and work tirelessly for success. “Today, I signed the form officially declaring my candidacy for President of the United States. I will work hard to earn every vote. And in November, our people-powered campaign will win,” Kamala Harris said in her post.

Vice President Kamala Harris will be seen as the Democratic candidate in the upcoming US presidential election on November 5 following Biden's endorsement.
Earlier on Friday, former US President Barack Obama publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the US presidency after Joe Biden recently dropped out of the race. Obama said he and former US First Lady Michelle Obama would do everything possible to ensure Harris wins the November presidential election.
Sharing the clip, Barack Obama wrote, “Michelle and I called our friend Kamala Harris earlier this week. We told her that we think she would make an excellent President of the United States and that she has our full support. At this critical moment for our country, we will do everything to ensure that she wins in November. We hope you will join us.”
Prior to this, actor and prominent Democratic fundraiser George Clooney publicly endorsed Harris for the US presidency.
Addressing the nation from the Oval Office earlier this week, US President Joe Biden thanked Kamala Harris and called her a “great vice president”.
“She is experienced. She's tough, and she's capable. She has been an incredible partner for me and a leader for our country. Now the choice is up to you, the American people,” Biden said
.Furthermore, White House Press Secretary, Karin Jean Pierre, emphasized that no one is more qualified to be the Democratic Party's presidential candidate than US Vice President Kamala Harris.
