Har Ghar Tiranga' is a campaign launched as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the tricolor home and hoist it as a symbol of India's independence. This stems from the idea that our relationship with the national flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the flag home together as a nation became a symbol not only of personal connection to the tricolor, but of our collective commitment to nation building. The concept behind this initiative was to instill a sense of patriotism in the minds of the people and create awareness about the Indian national flag. The Ministry of Culture is the nodal ministry for the Har Ghar Triranga programme.
