GATE 2025 registration: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will soon start the registration process for Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE) in Engineering. Eligible candidates can fill GATE application at https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/ GATE, which consists of 30 test papers, is a national-level examination that primarily tests comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering/technology. Although the GATE 2025 exam will be held on February 1, 2, 15 and 16, the registration dates remain unannounced. To fill the IIT GATE application, the registered candidate should visit – gate2025.iitr.ac.in – and fill the registration form. Check the important guidelines before filling the application form.

• Candidates must upload a good quality, color photograph of passport size (3.5 cm width × 4.5 cm height) with 60-70% face of the candidate.
• The photograph should have a white background and should not contain any other objects or persons.
• The photograph must show the front face seen directly into the camera and must show the forehead, eyes, nose and chin. The face in the photograph should not be covered by objects such as caps, hats, sunglasses, colored glasses etc. Normal glasses are allowed to improve vision. If the candidate normally wears glasses, a photograph with glare on the glasses is not acceptable. If glare cannot be avoided, glasses must be removed.
• Photographs can have a minimum aspect ratio of 0.66 and a maximum aspect ratio of 0.89 in JPEG/JPG format. After cropping the photo, the face should cover 60-70% of the image.
• Covering the head is not permitted except for religious reasons, but facial features from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead and both sides of the face must be clearly defined.

• Candidate's signature should be in black or dark blue ink only.
• File size should be minimum 3KB and maximum 1 MB.
• The maximum pixel resolution is 580×180 pixels and the minimum resolution is 250 x 80 pixels.
• Upload an image of your signature in JPEG/JPG format of size with a ratio (height: width) of 1 : R, where the value of R can be between 2.75 and 3.75. After cropping to the specified size, the signature area should cover 70-80% of the image.
