Uttar Pradesh Social Media Policy: As per the recent decision of the Uttar Pradesh government, there is a huge opportunity for social media influencers as well as for the common man. Uttar Pradesh government's new social media policy is giving them an opportunity to earn Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh per month to promote various State Government initiatives on social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and 'X'.
The Uttar Pradesh government has drafted a new digital media policy under which it can pay Rs 8 lakh per month to an influencer to promote its schemes on social media platforms. It also warned of legal action if any “objectionable content” is posted online.
The state government will pay up to Rs 8 lakh per month to the influencers and holders of these accounts on various social media platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram and YouTube based on their followers and subscribers.
Rs. How to earn from? 2 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh per month?
For the list, X, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are each divided into four categories based on subscribers and followers, the draft states.
Payment for content on X, Facebook, Instagram: Category-wise maximum payout limits for payments to account holders or operators or influencers of X, Facebook, Instagram have been fixed at Rs 5 lakh, Rs 4 lakh, Rs 3 lakh and Rs 2 lakh per month respectively.
Payment for content on YouTube: Category-wise maximum payout limits for videos, shorts, podcast payments on YouTube have been fixed at Rs 8 lakh, Rs 7 lakh, Rs 6 lakh and Rs 4 lakh per month respectively.
According to the Digital Media Policy, digital media like X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and YouTube will be encouraged to display content, videos, tweets, posts, reels based on the schemes and achievements of the state government. agency or firm and issuing advertisements.
“With the issuance of this policy, it will ensure massive employment to the residents of the state residing in various parts of the country and abroad,” it said.
UP's social media policy warns against “offensive content”.
It said the government will take legal action against social media operators, influencers, firms or related agencies if “offensive content” is uploaded.
“Uploading objectionable content on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and YouTube provides for legal action against the agency/firm concerned as per rules. Under no circumstances should the text be indecent, obscene and anti-national,” said a press note signed by Principal Secretary Sanjay Prasad.
This policy will also help in generating employment, the statement said.
