Speaking to reporters at the scene, Peretz Amar confirmed that the explosion was caused by a bomb, The Times of Israel reported.

Amar highlighted the difficulties in identifying the deceased, adding that the person was not a civilian but an explosive device was found in his possession. This raises the debate – was it a crime or an act of terrorism? Amar insists on the importance of knowing who the deceased person is in order to draw the correct conclusion. Telltale signs at the scene indicate a possible failed attack.
