Priyani Bhavani Shankar is getting trolled for acting in 'Indian 2'.

The actor said, “I was in the process of signing and releasing 'Indian 2'. Since I signed the film, I got a lot of offers. It was the first big film of my career. Of course 'Kadaikutty Singam' became very popular. I didn't know cinema then. I am happy that director Pandiraj offered it to me. Unfortunately, people only offer you films if you are a part of big films. They consider you a heroine. You must have a duet with the hero. It's there and I'm not complaining. It determines the market and everything around it.

The diva added, “Nobody wants to act in a film even though they know they won't [among the audience]. Every technician works hard to make the film a success. When a film fails, it is a huge disappointment for everyone involved. No matter how big a star you are, there is always a big disappointment. If they offer 'Indian 2' now, I'll take it even if I know the outcome. After its release, I know how people will bash you. Honestly, they started bullying me. I'm not delusional. It hurts.”

Priya Bhavani Shankar said, “You ask me to go back in time, I will still take up the film. Show me one industry leader who would say no to a Shankar-Kamal Haasan film with such a large screen space? Those are my parameters. I don't regret it. I'll take it for all the reasons I bought it in the first place. The result may not always be what you expect. I can apologize to the audience for not satisfying them.”

Priya recognizes the role of one-man effort in the film's success, but points out that it is not just a one-man show. She noted that even film industry powerhouses like Rajinikanth and Vijay alone cannot ensure box office hits. She emphasized synergy in the film industry and pointed out the audience-engaging aspects of film. While she acknowledged that not hitting the right audience can be frustrating, she encouraged everyone to look at these events as a stepping stone for future improvement.

Right now, Priya Bhavani Shankar is eagerly awaiting the release of her upcoming film 'Demonte Colony 2', which is expected to hit the cinema screens on August 15.
