According to a report, there are around 35 smartphones, which WhatsApp will no longer support soon. It includes Samsung, Apple, Motorola models.

There are many people who use smartphones for more than 3 to 4 years. According to Statista, people in the US use their device for at least two years and seven months before buying a new smartphone. People who have an old phone and use WhatsApp will have to get a new phone soon. WhatsApp cannot work on 35 different smartphones including Apple, Samsung, Motorola.

A report by CanalTech claims that WhatsApp will stop updating and working on more than 35 smartphones from vendors like Apple, Huawei, Lenovo, LG, Motorola and Samsung.

WhatsApp has changed its minimum system requirements which will affect users of older phones. According to the same report, smartphone users in the below-mentioned list will not receive WhatsApp updates or security patches. WhatsApp has taken this step to increase the functionality and security of the app.

There are many phones like Samsung's Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S3 Mini, and Galaxy S4 Mini, Motorola's Moto G and Moto X on which 'WhatsApp' doesn't work. In Apple, models like iPhone 6 and iPhone SE no longer support the app. Several models from Huawei, Lenovo, Sony, and LG are also affected. According to some media reports, the app will stop supporting these smartphones by the end of 2024.
