Mumbai : Due to ongoing infrastructure work in connection with 6th line work between Goregaon and Kandivali stations, the boarding/deboarding platform (location) at Malad station will be changed, mega blocks are being taken to lay the existing lines. 6th line.

Platform number one, which currently takes down slow local trains to board/deboard passengers on the left (west) side for trains coming from Churchgate, will now shift to the right (east) side. From September 1, 2024, passengers will alight / alight from the right, informed Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway.

Similarly, platform number two, which currently takes up slow local trains for passengers to board/deboard from the left side (east) for trains coming from Virar, will now be diverted to the right (west). From September 8, 2024 passengers will board/deboard from the right.

Platform number three, which currently takes Down Fast Local to board/deboard passengers on the left (west) side for trains coming from Churchgate, will now shift to the right (east). From September 22, 2024, passengers will board/deboard from the right.

Platform number four, which currently takes up fast local trains for passengers to board/deboard from the left side (east) for trains coming from the Virar side, will now be diverted to the right (west). From September 29, 2024, passengers will board/deboard from the right.

“These changes are part of ongoing efforts to increase the efficiency of stations and streamline the travel experience for passengers. Passengers are requested to please take note of the changes taking place at Malad station,” said a Western Railway official.
