Aspirant committed suicide due to poor performance in UP Police Constable Exam
It is alleged that a 24-year-old youth committed suicide after not performing well in the police constable recruitment exam.
Bareilly: A 24-year-old youth committed suicide after failing to perform well in the police constable recruitment exam. Yogesh Kumar of Saidpur Manjha village in Fatehganj East area committed suicide by hanging himself late on Saturday, Faridpur Police Divisional Officer (CO) Gaurav Singh said, PTI reported.
Kumar's body was found in a rented room in Faridpur and no suicide note was recovered from the spot, Singh said. Kumar's father Ajaypal Yadav told the police that his son had been preparing for the constable recruitment exam for the past five years.
According to police, Kumar appeared in the examination in Rampur district on Friday in which he performed poorly. The body has been sent for postmortem and further investigation is underway, said the CO. Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) will conduct UP Constable Civil Police Direct Recruitment Exam 2023 on 23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th and 31st August 2024. UP State Transport Corporation is providing free bus services to candidates with free travel on electric buses in many districts. Fresh recruitment was required to fill over 60,000 posts after the February 17 and 18 exam was canceled following allegations of paper-splitting.
The five-day exercise, which began on Friday, will conclude on August 31. This exam is being conducted in 67 districts of the state.
