Talking about his educational qualification, Sushant Sachdeva completed his 10th standard from Rajahans School in Mumbai. He has secured 92.4 percent marks in the exam. Meanwhile, he had gone to Pune to appear for the 12th board examination at the Army Public School.
According to a report in News18 Hindi, Sachdev won a gold medal in science from the Australian Academy. He received a fellowship under Kishore Scientist Incentive Scheme of Government of India. He secured 4th position in National Science Competition and 3rd position in IIT JEE. He scored well in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). Apart from IIT JEE, he secured third rank in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
According to his LinkedIn profile, Sushant Sachdeva completed his B.Tech at IIT Bombay and obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical Computer Science from Princeton University in 2013. In 2011, he worked as a researcher at Microsoft, followed by a research internship at the Toyota Technological Institute in Chicago (TTIC). He later worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley.
Sushant Sachdeva is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. He also served as a faculty adjunct at the Vector Institute. Currently, he is working as a Visiting Research Scientist at Google from January 24.
Prof. Sachdeva has received several awards and fellowships including Sloan Research Fellowship (2023), FOCS Best Paper Award (2022), Ontario Early Researcher Award (2022), Google Faculty Research Award (2018), NSERC Discovery Award (2018). and IITB President of India Gold Medal (2008).
