New Delhi: Regardless of Mumbai Indians’ thrilling win over Punjab Kings on the PCA Stadium in Mullanpur on Thursday, batter Tim David and batting coach Kieron Pollard have been handed hefty fines by the Indian Premier League (IPL) governing council, for breaching Code of Conduct. The announcement of the punishment for David and Pollard have been made official on Saturday.
“Mumbai Indians batter Tim David and batting coach Kieron Pollard have been fined for breaching the IPL’s Code of Conduct throughout their crew’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match towards Punjab Kings on the PCA New Worldwide Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur on April 18,” IPL mentioned in a press release.
“David and Pollard dedicated a Degree 1 offence beneath Article 2.20 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. David and Pollard have been every fined 20 % of their respective match charges. Each admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction. For Degree 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s resolution is remaining and binding,” the assertion added.
