New Delhi: A bubbly Kushagra Roy from Bhiwadi, Rajasthan secured an All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the CA Intermediate exam. With 538 marks out of 600, equivalent to 89.67%, Roy proves that hard work pays off.

Kushagra Roy's disciplined study routine

Speaking to India.com after the results were declared, Kushagra Roy said that 12-13 hours of disciplined study was the secret of his success. Roy said that he has made his schedule flexible and doing other tasks during the day is manageable for him.

On Thursday, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) declared the CA Intermediate and Final Exam results. CA Inter Group I exams were held on May 3, 5 and 9, while Group II exams were held on May 11, 15 and 17. The CA Final Group I exams were conducted on May 2, 4 and 8. With Group II exams scheduled on May 10, 14 and 16.

Sharpness score 89.67%

According to the results, the all India topper for the intermediate exam was Kushagra Roy from Bhiwani, who secured 89.67% marks. Yug Sachin Kariya from Akola and Yagya Lalit Chandak from Bhayander shared AIR 2 with 87.67% and 87.67% marks respectively.

From Class 11, Kushagra was convinced of his decision to pursue commerce, thanks to his father, an accountant, who dreamed of Kushagra becoming a chartered accountant. This dream, along with his father's faith, became Kushagra's biggest motivation to clear the exam.

Kushagra said disciplined studies were central to his success. He dedicated 12-13 hours per day, followed a strict schedule that ensured consistent progress and reduced last-minute cramming.

His disciplined approach maximized his understanding and retention of material. Recognizing the importance of structured learning, he recommends attending classes, whether online or offline.

What struggles did the Kushagras face?

His father dreams of achieving this goal one day, even though he hasn't cleared it himself.

The next steps in Kushagra's journey include starting his articleship and pursuing computer training, aiming to land an opportunity at one of the Big 4 accounting firms known for scouting top talent.
