BCCI Secretary Jai Shah had announced the huge prize money soon after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup in Barbados by defeating South Africa in the final.

New Delhi: Soon after India defeated South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah announced a whopping Rs 125 crore prize money for the entire team. Indian sports have never seen such a huge prize money. So there was always curiosity about how rich the players would become. According to a report in Indian Express, all the players, including the three who did not get a game, and head coach Rahul Dravid will get Rs 5 crore each.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal and Sanju Samson are the players who did not get a single game. The rest of the head coaching staff – batting coach Vikram Rathore, bowling coach Paras Mhambare and fielding coach T Dileep – will get a bounty of Rs 2.5 crore. Chairman Ajit Agarkar along with the members of the selection committee will get Rs.1 crore each.

The rest of Dravid's backroom staff will also be rewarded. Three physiotherapists, three throwdown specialists, two masseurs and a strength and conditioning coach will be paid Rs 2 crore each. The four reserve players Rinku Singh, Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Khalil Ahmed will also get Rs 1 crore each.
