New Delhi: The Centre’s high-level panel on examination reforms has sought recommendations and suggestions from stakeholders, together with college students and oldsters, until July 7, Ministry of Schooling officers stated on Friday. Amid a heated controversy over alleged examination irregularities, a panel led by former ISRO chief R Radhakrishnan has been assigned to suggest reforms within the examination course of, enhance information safety protocols, and evaluate the construction and operations of the Nationwide Testing Company (NTA).

“The committee is in search of recommendations, views and concepts from stakeholders, significantly college students and oldsters, from June 27 to July 7, 2024. The recommendations could be submitted utilizing mygov platform,” a senior MoE official was quoted as saying to information company PTI.

The Phrases of Reference of the committee are as follows;

(i) Reform in mechanism of examination course of

  • (a) To analyse the end-to-end examination course of and recommend measures to enhance effectivity of the system and to forestall any attainable breach.
  • (b) To conduct a radical evaluate of the Customary Working Procedures (SOPs)/Protocols of the NTA, and recommend measures to strengthen these procedures/protocols together with monitoring mechanism to make sure compliance at each degree.

(ii) Enchancment in Knowledge Safety protocols

  • (a) To judge the prevailing information safety processes and protocols of NTA and suggest measures for its enchancment.
  • (b) To look at current safety protocols associated to the paper-setting and different processes for various examinations and make suggestions to boost robustness of system.

(iii) Construction & Functioning of Nationwide Testing Company

  • (a) To make suggestions on the organizational construction and functioning of the Nationwide Testing Company (NTA) for implementation of suggestions given underneath level (i) and (ii) and clearly defining the roles and obligations of functionaries at each degree.
  • (b)   Assess the present Grievance Redressal Mechanism of the NTA, establish areas of enchancment and make suggestions for enhancing its effectivity.
