Demonstrations are going on outside the United Nations to save Hindus and minorities in Bangladesh. It's very impressive to see people from all walks of life show up spontaneously on a work day,” the NGO said in a post on X, sharing a video of the protest.
HinduAction thanked several American representatives, including Representative Fallon, Congress Thanedar, and Raja Krishnamurthy, for speaking out against violence targeting Hindus in Bangladesh.
“I strongly condemn the political violence and religious persecution we are experiencing in Bangladesh. I request the Interim Government to act in the common interest of the Bangladeshi people and stop this violence immediately. Targeting Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and any other religious minorities is reprehensible. Those who incite and participate in these acts of violence must be held accountable,” Fallon said in a post on X.
Protests also took place elsewhere in New York, the NGO said.

“Within the first 100 hours of the event unfolding, @CongressmanRaja, @RepMcCormick @RepShriThanedar, @RepRoKhanna and @RepTomSuozzi have called on the @WhiteHouse and @StateDept to take responsibility for the safety of Hindus. We urge the @HouseGOP and @HouseDemocrats to join and make this a priority. We must ensure that there is no repeat of the 2001 genocide targeting Hindus and the 1971 genocide. Expect the same from @SenatorCardin & @SenateForeign,” HinduACtion said in another X post.
Earlier, US Congressman Raja Krishnamurthy had written to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken requesting the Bangladeshi government to help end violence against Hindus in the country.
