Air India will start Dhaka, Vistara service with evening flights from this date
Vistara will also resume its services in the capital of Bangladesh. The expansion's scheduled flights to Dhaka are expected to commence from 7 August 2024.
New Delhi: National carrier Air India on Tuesday resumed its operations in Dhaka after suspending services due to violent protests in Bangladesh. Air India operated its scheduled flight from Delhi to Dhaka on Tuesday evening, with the neighboring country plunged into uncertainty after extraordinary street protests over job quotas forced Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to resign and flee.
Most Indian airlines will resume operations to and from Dhaka on Wednesday, a day after flights to Bangladesh were canceled due to violent protests and the ouster of Sheikh Hasina as prime minister.
“Due to the prevailing situation in Dhaka, Air India is offering a one-time discount on rescheduling to customers with confirmed bookings on any Air India flight to and from Dhaka between 4th and 7th August 2024, if they wish to do so,” Air India said on X (formerly Twitter). The post said.
